If so, the next step in your extension journey is achieving your desired color with your natural hair. It’s essential for your hair to be as close to the color you want so we can accurately match your extensions. Once your color is just right, we’ll order the extensions and custom color them to ensure the most seamless blend possible

We’ve thought through every single detail to help you keep your hair looking fabulous after installation. You’ll receive a Customized At-Home Extension Haircare Kit complete with shampoo and conditioner selected by your stylist, oil, hair brush, satin scrunchie and an Extension Maintenance Guide.

VAMP stylists are extensively trained in multiple methods, primarily focusing on hand-tied extensions.
✷ BEADED ROW, HAND-TIED:
Beaded-row, hand-tied extensions are what VAMP is known for! This signature method is perfect for a natural, seamless look. These extensions are installed using the safest application method on the market in our opinion. There is no heat, glue or solvents used during the application or removal process. The hair can be used for 6-12 months, depending on color, maintenance and lifestyle. 4-10 week maintenance appointments are required.
✷ TAPE-INS:
We offer luxurious tape-in hair extensions that are quick to install and can be reused. Tape-in extensions give the appearance of a seamless blend and can be one of the most undetectable types of hair extensions. Tape-in hair extensions work well on most types of hair because they are lightweight and seamless. These require maintenance every 4-6 weeks to ensure the best outcome for your hair.

Quality extensions are an investment. We use only the best hair with the safest application methods for each individual client. We have an extension menu with our standard base pricing, but it is possible for the cost to vary based on individual needs. Exact cost will be determined during your initial consultation.

In general, a full head of beaded row, hand-tied extensions (two rows) takes about 3 hours to install, blend, style and photograph. For a half head, thickening service, (1 row) the time is usually cut half. The refitting appointments are typically a half hour-one hour shorter.

We only purchase extension hair directly from the manufacturers to ensure we know the exact quality of what we are getting, the process of the treatment of the hair and that it is ethically sourced. This luxury hair can last on average 6-10 months. The actual length of wear is determined by the level of care given to the extensions, your lifestyle and the colors selected. Lighter colors have a shorter lifespan than darker shades. Your stylist will educate you on the best products and home care tips to maintain your extensions. During your initial installation you will be given a complete hand-tied extension hair-care kit.

We recommend that you come in every 5-10 weeks to have them refitted. Your stylist will recommend a regular schedule for you. The closer you adhere to your schedule the healthier your natural hair will stay. Your extensions will be completely removed and reinstalled at each appointment. During your refitting both the extensions and your natural hair will receive professional conditioning treatments to help extend the health and longevity of the hair.

Yes. Your natural hair above your hand-tied extensions can be safely colored with permanent or semi-permanent color. Hghlights can be done in between your extensions or any where that they are not placed. Full head highlighting services are done while your extensions are out during a refitting. You may also receive a gloss on your natural hair and the extensions. Never see a stylist for color who isn't highly experienced working with extensions. We can not guarantee our work if you see another stylist for your color.

Yes, we recommend you using salon quality hot tools that have a temperature dial on them. We suggest you keep your irons no higher 300° and your hair dryer on a low to medium heat setting. Always use a thermal protectant. Our favorite is davines melu heat shield.

Yes, you can swim, work out and maintain a normal active lifestyle while wearing hand-tied extensions. Try to stay out of water with harsh chemicals that could discolor not only your extensions but your natural hair. Especially if you are blonde remember, chlorine is not your friend. Be sure to follow our at-home extension care tips.

Extensions do not receive the same vitamins, nutrients, and oils as your natural hair, so it's necessary to use top quality products to protect your investment. Your stylist will recommend a davines product regimen to use on a regular basis. Purchasing your products directly from VAMP is the only way we can guarantee the health of your extensions. You will receive shampoo, conditioner and an oil in your starter at-home extension care kit.

Extensions are a customized service for each client. We must first color match you and determine the length and amount need. Because we have such a large extension clientele, we do keep a stock of hand-tied extension hair in the salon of our most used colors, so it is possible to have them installed the same day based on the colors selected, our current stock and schedule availability. For most extension appointments we normally book the installation for a future date. If same day is not possible, a 50% deposit is required to order your hair and schedule your installation. The hair can often be delivered in as soon as 1-5 days depending on time ordered and shipping method selected.

For the first week they may feel slightly uncomfortable as you are not used to wearing extra hair. However, many clients say the barely ever feel them.
